I've Had So Much I Might End This Sentence in Mid

Okay, hypothetically, if you're going on a mission to, say, catch a guilty whale. And while you were catching the whale, you saw something else that may be another whale, and you were like, "What?" But then you thought, "Maybe it's not a whale. Maybe it's a big fish. Maybe it's a submarine with a face painted on it." The point is, if I kill the first whale, am I technically a murderer?

she was wrong to do what she did! fine! I never said she was an angel!

but that doesn’t make abuse ok!

it’s not ok to abuse your kid when they’re being bad!

this is not circumstantial!

how fucking complicated is this?!?!!?

Seriously? “How is this different than selling a kid’s toys?” Maybe because you can’t accidentally kill a kid with a garage sale. Maybe because a kid can’t grow up afraid of your parent because of a garage sale.

The property destruction bit isn’t really the point here. It’s a nail in the coffin, maybe, something wrong that the parent did, made worse by its context. But this is about using a firearm to solve your problems because you can’t talk about your problems like an adult. It’s not an entitlement thing, either. It’s not about the kid deserving their property. It’s about them deserving not to feel afraid of their parents. No one gives a shit about your anecdotal when-I-was-young argument. Growing up was hard? Sorry, bro. But other people don’t have to suffer because you did (you didn’t, by the way, so don’t act like you’ve been there). Oh, and not having the things is the first place is a lot different than getting them destroyed with a firearm.

I’m not really pro-gun control either. Sure, the second amendment isn’t as relevant now as it was two hundred years ago, but people should be allowed to own firearms as a safety precaution. As a safety precaution. If you’re using a firearm for anything but your own protection, you do not deserve to own one.
